You lead in a dynamic, high-impact environment where people are central to every decision, outcome, and success.

We spend significant periods of time working. As such, workplaces are impacted by our personal lives, health changes, and challenges. Experiences both within and outside of work shape how individuals show up, engage, and perform. Conflict, stress, or trauma inevitably arise—stemming from relationships, life events, or workplace dynamics—and can become issues affecting both individuals and the broader work environment.

As corporate or HR leaders, we are responsible for stewarding progress. Addressing misbehaviour, performance issues, or interpersonal conflict is one part of the role. When conflict and trauma occur, they can alter team dynamics, morale, productivity, and engagement. Today’s compassionate leaders proactively support workplace wellbeing because trauma-informed practices—from leadership down to all employees—are a smart investment. Organizational trauma-informed practices increase engagement, reduce absenteeism and presenteeism, and prevent burnout, cultivating environments where employees feel safe, respected, and valued.

By learning that trauma does impact workplaces, and by implementing trauma-informed leadership, policy, and practices, you build a culture of trust and psychological safety—the foundation for resilient, adaptable, and high-performing teams. Employees who feel safe, supported, and appreciated show greater motivation, loyalty, and innovation, allowing your organization to thrive.

You, and your workers, may be experiencing trauma or living with trauma.  The more you develop effective skills and techniques, the better you can look after yourself and the people within your organizationn to maintain consistent high-quality professional services.

The Mother Corp Educational Workshops teach you to identify trauma signs early, intervene effectively to prevent escalation, and use somatic skills to ground and deescalate challenging situations — for yourself, your colleagues, your teams and your workforce.

These educational workshops are tailored to the realities of Corporate and HR professionals.

It states that anxiety and depression cost $1 trillion globally each year. In the U.S., employers lose $193 billion annually from mental health conditions, $500 billion from workplace stress, and $3 billion from PTSD. Canada is reported to lose $20.7 billion per year to mental illness.

It is divided into two sections: "Single-Event Trauma," listing examples like an accident, natural disaster, or act of violence; and "Ongoing Trauma," listing examples such as a chronic health challenge, abusive relationship, gender-based violence, or high-conflict divorce. The graphic notes that individuals are impacted by trauma in different ways. The bottom right corner displays "The Mother Corp" as the source or creator of the graphic.
